Training to maximize your fitness is best accomplished by obtaining accurate knowledge of your overall aerobic fitness and performance potential. We use both metabolic and lactate testing to analyze your aerobic system and provide you with accurate training zones and goal oriented feedback.
Bicyle Fitting CAD$300 per appointment
A bicycle fit at The Cycling Gym is different than the common bike fit at your local bicycle store. We focus on both the rider and the bicycle in a two appointment/three-hour process to complete the bicycle fit. Thus you are an active, learning, participant, with a direct hand in working towards your optimum set-up. Our bike fits combine several components including: Functional Movement Screening, stretching and strengthening techniques, Wobblenaught measurement, and Dartfish video anaylsis.
The longest class of the week, typically working on tempo and endurance to build aerobic capacity. Don't be fooled by the lower intensity of these sessions they can be surprisingly challenging.
The classes at the gym are led by an instructor. Each class has a specific goal and the workout is built and monitored to get you there. Overall the workouts are periodized, and each workout is individualized within the class based on rider and heart rate feedback.

Instructor led classes designed to improve your strength and mobility: to enhance your performance on the bike and your general well-being. For consistent improvement, we encourage our members to attend two Strength & Conditioning classes each week.
Open Gym time is about making the gym more accessible to fit our member's schedules. It is not a class time but during open gym our members can come in and use the cycling or strength equipment to complete their workout that day. There are several open gym slots offered each day, book one and come in to get your workout finished.
Integrating the strength training into some fun circuits keeps things interesting and also challenges the aerobic system. A great way to maintain the mobility while having fun.
